An estimated 5,000 people attend the popular Fourth of July celebrations in downtown Ridgefield in Overlook Park and along Pioneer Street and Main Street. The free community festival features a fun run at 8 a.m., pet and kid parade at 10:15 a.m., Fourth of July parade at 11 a.m., a pie-eating contest at 2 p.m. and a Downtown Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with food trucks, artisan vendors, kids’ activities, music and dancing.
