Ridgefield Waterfront Cleanup

Volunteers are needed to help with litter clean-up along Lake River in Ridgefield from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14. Volunteers will meet at the boat ramp on the Ridgefield waterfront at 5 Mill St., Ridgefield. Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes, dress for the weather and bring snacks and water. A portion of this cleanup will be along the edge of Lake River; this area can be slippery and muddy with unstable rocks. Volunteers who clean at the edge of Lake River should wear waterproof shoes, boots or waders.
