Southwest Washington Wind Symphony: Legends and Lore

The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony will open its 2025-2026 season at 3 p.m. Oct. 19 at Union High School with internationally acclaimed trumpet virtuoso Allen Vizzutti, guest conductor Jennifer M. Ferguson from the Evergreen School District, and principal conductor Patrick Murphy from the University of Portland. Musical selections include Vizzutti’s “The Rising Sun,” inspired by Japanese folklore; “Riften Wed” by Julie Giroux; and “Haunted Objects (Tsukumogami)” by John Mackey. Admission is free.
