The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony will celebrate musical milestones at “Tributes,” 3 to 4:30 p.m. May 19 at Union High School’s Performing Arts Center, 6201 N.W. Friberg-Strunk St., Camas. Under the baton of conductor Patrick Murphy from the University of Portland, the 55-musician wind symphony will commemorate the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” by performing it with pianist Julia Hwakyu Lee. The program also includes John Philip Sousa’s “Sesquicentennial Exposition March” written for the 150th anniversary of America’s independence and Dwayne Milburn’s “Fantasy on American Folk Songs.” Admission is free.
