Sun Spot Viewing at 78th Street Heritage Farm

WSU Extension Clark County Master Gardeners and Rose City Astronomers will host a sunspot viewing from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 17 at the 78th Street Heritage Farm, at the intersection of Northeast 78th Street and Northeast 19th Court in Hazel Dell. All ages are welcome. The program is geared toward kids in grades one through five with four educational stations. Participants will safely view the sun through a telescope while learning about sunspots. Attendees will learn about the solar system and how to tell time with a sundial. This event will take place fully outside. Participants should dress for the weather and bring water. No pets except service animals are allowed on the farm. Register at forms.gle/CFqMJ6iptFVQ6Y4C8.
