As part of the National Week of Conversation, April 15-21, The Historic Trust and will host “36 Questions for Civic Love,” from 6 to 8 p.m. April 18 at the Artillery Barracks, 600 E. Hatheway Rd., Vancouver. Civic love is a high regard for the place you call home, expressed by looking out for others, connecting with neighbors, volunteering for causes, honoring differences and celebrating common bonds. In 1997, psychologist Arthur Aron explored whether two perfect strangers could form a bond by asking each other a set of 36 questions. The 36 Questions for Civic Love are adapted from this experiment to help community members form a bond by asking each other a series of 36 questions. Register at thehistorictrust.org.
