Put on a costume and join Portland drag icon Clare Apparently for Trinity Music’s Halloween Organ Spooktacular, a free creepy-crawly Halloween organ concert at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 147 N.W. 19th Ave., Portland.
Enjoy a spine-tingling lineup of spooky music, like Bach’s terrifying “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor” and the “Toccata” from Böellmann’s ghoulish “Suite Gothique” – plus lots of musical tricks and treats. Sing along with Halloween carols, show off your Halloween costumes, win prizes from a free raffle, and enjoy some Halloween humor. Trinity Music’s team of organists — Katie Webb, Paul Flyger, Erik Simmons and Gregor McGee — team up to present this spooktacular annual concert from the console of Trinity’s magnificent Rosales organ. Admission is free but donations are welcome to support Trinity Music. For more details, visit trinity-episcopal.org/music-series.
