The North Clark Historical Museum and Mt. Valley Grange #79 will host a celebration honoring veterans at 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the grange, 40107 N.E. 221st Ave., Amboy. Enjoy an ice cream social in the basement; adults are $4 and children 12 and under are $2. A presentation will be given by Ron Brandon, USMC, at 3 p.m., after which Pomeroy Living History Farm will be recognized for its contributions to the community. Danae Castle will sing a medley of patriotic songs and the Amboy Middle School Band will play inspirational tunes. American Legion Tum Tum Post #168 will lead the flag salute. Veterans will receive a free raffle ticket for a patriotic quilt made and donated by the Chelatchie Quilters. Veterans will also receive a gift box of items donated by The Wild Bean and Nick’s Bar and Grill. Door prizes will be awarded and the winner of the “Blue Starlight” quilt raffle fundraiser will be drawn. A pie auction will conclude the event. Proceeds support the Mt. Valley Grange.
