Volunteer Tree Planting in Minnehaha

Clark County Public Works will increase the tree canopy in the Minnehaha neighborhood by collaboration with Clark Conservation District, several Public Works divisions, local partners and state agencies. Six hundred and fifty trees will be planted in county road rights-of-way, parks property and in rights-of-way in front of homes. At least 250 Minnehaha residents will be recruited for a free tree giveaway program. The program’s goal is to plant 1,000 trees in Minnehaha by June 30. Volunteer tree planting events are noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 23 at Road’s End Neighborhood Park; 9 a.m. to noon and noon to 3 p.m. on Jan. 25 at Bosco Farm Neighborhood Park; and noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 31 at Douglas Carter Fisher Neighborhood Park.
