Volunteers with a love of gardening and history will gather to spruce up Parker’s Landing Historical Park from 3 to 5 p.m. May 21. The park, with its rose arbor, large trees and spectacular views of the Columbia River and Mt. Hood, is where Parkersville was platted on May 1, 1854. The work is to prepare for the third annual Parkersville Day, noon to 3 p.m. June 1. Volunteers should plan to remove winter plants and weeds, trim existing plants and prune roses.
