Charles Schulz’s beloved comic comes to life in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” showing in the Beacock Music Recital Hall Dec. 1-10. Bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder, perfectionist Sally is mocking blanket-toting Linus, Snoopy is in the doghouse and Charlie Brown is in rare form. The musical spans the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day. This revised version preserves the sweet, joyful innocence of the Peanuts gang but introduces a new playfulness with two new songs, funny dialogue and catchy orchestrations. Ticket sales will fund the Daryle Rustvold MusicForLife Scholarship Foundation, which provides music lessons and instruments to those in need. Tickets ($25) must be purchased online at beacockmusic.com/p-72079-youre-a-good-man-charlie-brown.aspx. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime. Performances are 7 p.m. Dec. 1, 2, 8 and 9, with matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Dec. 3 and 10.
