A Livestock Manure Composting and Land Stewardship Tour will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. July 17.
Attendees will learn new tips and techniques for composting that can: reduce pile size, create a valuable soil amendment, reduce pests, and keep our water clean. This workshop will cover manure composting practices, whether you have your own livestock or acquire manure to add to your compost. Participants will learn from horse keepers Merrilee and Bruce Howell, as well as Terry Koper, the Small Acreage Program Coordinator of WSU Clark County Extension.
The event will be held in-person and outdoors at a residence in Battle Ground. Attendees must register in advance as capacity is limited. For more information or to register online, visit https://manure071725.bpt.me
