
The Vancouver Elks Lodge #823 presents Elktoberfest, a community gathering of “Bands, Brats and Brews” from 4-10 p.m. Sept. 19 and from 2-9 p.m. Sept. 20 in the lodge’s outdoor space at the intersection of McGillivray and Chkalov. This year will include a Kids Carnival game area and a vendor marketplace. Guests will enjoy local craft beer; traditional German fare like bratwurst, hot dogs, potato salad and sauerkraut; and lively local bands. All ages are welcome and German-style attire is encouraged. Robby Mayer will perform music from the 60s through the present from 4-6 p.m. Sept. 19 and Lip Balm will play hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s from 7-9 p.m. Same Old Schmidt will play German polka tunes from 3-6 p.m. Sept. 20. One Eyed Cats will deliver a mix of blues, R&B and funk from 7-9 p.m. The entry fee for both days is $10 for guests ages 21 and older.
