Girlfriends All-women Triathlon and Fitness Festival

The Girlfriends All-women Triathlon and Fitness Festival is 9 a.m. Aug. 11 at Frenchman’s Bar Park, 9612 N.W. Lower River Road, Vancouver.  The route features views of the Columbia River, Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens and Vancouver Lake. The course is flat and fast with a down-current swim close to the shore, perfect for a first-time triathlon participant. The Kids Triathlon and a Sunset 5K/10K are 7 p.m. Aug. 8. Additional co-ed events will be held on Aug. 11. Registration costs range from $23 to $201.
