League of Women Voters “Museum Takeover”

The League of Women Voters will participate in a “museum takeover” at the Clark County Historical Museum, 1511 Main St., Vancouver, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Oct. 6. The free event will feature activities and additional historical information to all four of the museum’s main exhibits, starting in the Vancouver Brewing History exhibit. There, the league will feature a re-enactment of the Kandidate Kegger and Hotter Than Air Festival it hosted with Lucky Lager Brewery during the 1970s, in which the public sipped beer and chatted with candidates from all parties. Republicans, Democrats and Independents will each have a table with campaign literature. At the (Her)Story exhibit, attendees can enjoy tea and cookies with several female former elected officials. The league will register voters in the Ports and Rivers exhibit and host trivia games in the Hometown Heroes exhibit.
