Pepper Palooza

Pepper Palooza is a three-Saturday celebration of the region’s pepper harvest, happening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 4, 11 and 18 at three locations: Hazel Dell Commons, 9811 N.E. Highway 99 (Oct. 4); Gather and Feast Farm, 2706 N.E. 369th St., La Center (Oct. 11); and Flat Tack Farm, 9400 N.E. 134th St., Vancouver (Oct. 18). On Oct. 4, enjoy roasted peppers and pepper-centered dishes, a fundraiser for LULAC to support the launch of Mercado Fresco, a Latino-led fresh food marketplace. Visitors can also enjoy local craft beer from Brothers Cascadia and live bluegrass. On Oct. 11, enjoy smoked peppers. On Oct. 18, sample hot sauces, pepper cider from Heathen Brewing, tacos from Flat Tack Farm, and Filipino eats from Kali Kantina. Admission is free on all three days.
