Planting at Sam Brown Park

The City of Vancouver’s AmeriCorps members will lead a tree planting from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 17 at Sam Brown Park’s urban natural area, 5722 Montana Lane, Vancouver. This event is a follow-up from the postponed MLK Day of Service. Volunteers will plant trees and hundreds of native plants. Plants will also be given to volunteers to take home. Training, gloves, tools, water, and snacks will be provided. Volunteers should dress for the weather and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
