Lifeline Connections and The American Legion Riders Tum Tum Post 168 will partner on Sept. 17 for a fundraiser to benefit the Windhaven Veterans Program.
Owners of motorcycles, trikes, hot rods and classic cars are invited to join the rally which begins at 7 a.m. at ilani Casino Resort, 1 Cowlitz Way, Ridgefield. Register on the day or register online. A military-style opening ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. then the trail ride will begin at 10 a.m. Participants will enjoy riding through picturesque country roads to Territorial Park where they’ll be greeted by vendors, food, live music and a demonstration of how this program helps Veterans cope with PTSD and other trauma-related symptoms. Other activities include a motorcycle and car judging, along with a raffle. There a cost of $25 per vehicle and $7 per passenger to join the ride, including a ride patch.
Those who can’t attend can make donations here. Donations help fund scholarship programs for veterans. Treatment services are often covered by insurance, including Washington Apple Health, or through Lifeline Connections scholarships. For more information, call 360-397-8246, ext. 30451.
