The 76th annual Long Beach Rodeo is July 29 through July 30 at the Peninsula Saddle Club, located at 6403 Sandridge Road, Long Beach. The event kicks off with a Rodeo Parade through downtown Long Beach at 6:30 p.m. July 28. Enjoy a cowboy breakfast in the clubhouse from 7 to 11 a.m. July 29 and 30. The Northwest Professional Rodeo kicks off at 1 p.m. both days. The gate opens at 11 a.m. The rodeo features top cowboys and cowgirls in the northwest competing in Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Bull Riding, Breakaway Roping, Calf Roping, Team Roping, Steer Wrestling and Barrel Racing. A new event has been added this year: Wild Cow Milking. The fair features food for purchase, a beer garden, artisan vendors, t-shirts and sweatshirts. Purchase tickets at Long Beach Pharmacy or at the gate. Adults are $20, seniors are $15, children 6-12 are $10 and children 5 and under are free. Parking is free. Directly after the Saturday rodeo, there will be a free Family Night for children. Some of the events will be stick horse races and tug of war.
