Enjoy the last part of summer at Taste ‘n Tunes, featuring live music and food vendors from 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 20 at Marina Park, 24 S. A St., Washougal. The event, hosted by the Columbia River Arts and Cultural Foundation, is a fundraiser for Washougal’s new Performing Arts and Cultural Center at the Port of Camas/Washougal waterfront, which will provide a venue for live theater, dance, music, cultural events, educational and cultural events as well as enhancing local tourism and providing jobs and access to the arts.
Pianist and vocalist Jim Fischer will perform at 2 p.m. King Louie Pain and Friends will perform at 3:30 and 5 p.m. Food vendors include Kona Ice and Kiawe Island Bistro. Raffle tickets will be available to buy. Prizes include a 60-minute yacht trip on the Columbia River, a night at the Best Western Plus Washougal, a kayak rental and a Philippine tablecloth. Rock painting and other games will be available for kids.
Tickets are on sale at givebutter.com/TasteNTunes. Adults ages 12 and older are $15, kids ages 3 to 12 are $5 and tots under 2 are free. Bring a chair or blanket but leave dogs and alcohol at home.
