In Mulierbus presents “Sombras y Sueños: Shadows and Dreams”

The women’s choral group In Mulieribus offers an opportunity from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 29 to experience the sounds of early and contemporary music of Latin America composed for women’s voices. The program at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2408 S.E. 16th Ave., Portland, includes villancicos by 17th century Mexican composers Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Juan García de Zéspedes, and Juan de Lienas; works by Heitor Villa-Lobos and Pablo Casals; and Einojuhani Rautavaara’s famous Suite de Lorca — a haunting setting of Federico García Lorca’s surrealist poems. The concert will include guest artist guitarist Mario Diaz.
