Diabetes Connection Event

A free diabetes connection event will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 6600 Highland Drive, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Jan 15.
With diabetes health care and support professionals from throughout the community, the free event will feature screenings of blood sugar, blood pressure, foot, eye, teeth and circulation health, plus nutrition tips. There will also be information and referral options for further follow-up. People already diagnosed with pre-diabetes or diabetes, as well as those with a family history of diabetes, are especially encouraged to attend. This is a bilingual event and translators will be available.
