Clark County Men’s Shed Meeting

The Clark County Men’s Shed (CCMS) will hold its first general meeting since it stopped meeting because of COVID concerns several months ago. The meeting will be held at the Friends of the Carpenter building 1600 W. 20^th St. in Vancouver at 10:00 a.m. on April 3.

Men’s Sheds provide a space where men can pursue meaningful, creative interests and social with other men in the process. Professor Barry Golding coined the phrase “Men don’t talk face to face: they talk shoulder to shoulder” to describe how sheds promote informal discussions of health issues and other concerns as men work together on projects or just stop in for coffee and conversation.

CCMS is a program of CDM Caregiving Services, a locally grown non-profit agency dedicated to serving elders and people of all ages with disabilities. CCMS also has support from The Area Agency on Aging and Disabilities of Southwest Washington and The Friends of the Carpenter.
