“We Got the Beat” Musical by Canyon Creek Middle School

Students in the Soundstage club at Canyon Creek Middle School in Washougal will present the musical “We Got the Beat” at 6 p.m. May 23 at the Washburn Performing Arts Center at Washougal High School, 1201 39th St., Washougal. Admission is free.

The production is an opportunity for middle school students in the Soundstage after-school program to showcase singing and acting skills. Musical accompaniment for “We Got the Beat” will be performed by a group of local musicians, including Bryan Harrison on guitar, Canyon Creek Middle School science teacher Patrick Rice on bass and Washougal High School student Elijah Deere on drums.
