Clark College will host “Writing Along the Edges,” an all-day creative writing festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 20 in the Penguin Union Building at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. The all-day workshop, led by Clark College English faculty, features author readings and writing workshops that celebrate writing and practice craft. Workshop facilitators include renowned writers as well as Clark faculty. Attendees will hear author reading by Sierra Crane Murdoch, Kesha Ajose Fisher, Allison Cobb, Shin Yu Pai, Melissa Mathewson, Emily Kendal Frey and Cheston Knapp. The event also includes four hours of breakout sessions with topics around writer’s block, crafting characters, memoir writing, non-fiction and poetry.
Everyone is welcome. There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided, with gluten-free and meat-free options. Coffee and pastries will be served in the morning.
