The Clark College Concert Band, directed by Dr. Doug Harris, presents its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. June 6 at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics Royal Durst Theatre, 3101 Main St., Vancouver. The concert is open to the public and admission is free, though donations are welcome. Admission to the performance free and open to the public. Donations to the Clark College Music Department are welcome at the door.
The concert features African-American composer Omar Thomas’ “Shenandoah,” Tetsusnosuke Kushida’s “Asuka,” Aaron Copland’s “Variations on a Shaker Melody” from “Appalachian Spring,” “Marche of the Parachutists Belges” by Pierre Leemans and David Maslanka’s “Golden Light.” The finale features Clark College’s Treble Ensemble on Ron Nelson’s “Aspen Jubilee.”
