The Clark College Treble Ensemble and Clark College Chorale, under the direction of Dr. Jacob Funk and accompanied by Dr. Jeongmi Yoon, present their Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. June 8 at First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd St., Vancouver. The concert is open to the public and admission is free, though donations are welcome.
The Treble Ensemble is singing pieces in English, Japanese, Estonian, and Spanish, including “She Lingers On” by Zanaida Robles. Other pieces include The Highwomen’s “Crowded Table” and Pärt Uusberg’s “Mis on inimene?” Audiences will also hear “The Last Words of David” by Thompson and “Let the Music Fill Your Soul” by Jacob Narverud, Barnum’s “Afternoon on a Hill,” an arrangement of “This Little Light of Mine,” and “Riders in the Sky.” For more details about Clark College Music Department concerts including the orchestra, concert band, jazz ensemble and choirs, visit clark.edu/campus-life/arts-events/music/music-concerts.
