Summerfest Picnic in the Park is 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. July 1 at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Parade Grounds and Officers Row. The free family festival features live music from 5 Guys Named Moe, Full Zoo and Rock N Roll Cowboys, plus a kids’ stage with Spencer Sprocket, The Alphabeticians, Angel Ocasio’s Comedy and magician Timothy Alexander. Play games like corn hole, lawn checkers and croquet. Enjoy the climbing wall or visit the face painting station. Bring a picnic or purchase food from vendors, along with beer and cider tastings for those 21 and over in the beer garden. The National Park Service site open until 4 p.m. for visits to Fort Vancouver, the Park Visitor Center and Pearson Air Museum. There will be no fireworks show and fireworks of any kind are prohibited on the National Historic Site and throughout the City of Vancouver.
