A new booklet about Battle Ground Lake before it became a state park is making its debut at Literary Leftovers, 813 W. Main St., Suite 105, Battle Ground, from 2 to 3 p.m. Oct. 28. Louise Tucker, author and area historian, will personally sign books. Other members of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs — Battle Ground, which sponsored the project, will be on hand to answer questions.
The 60-page “Battle Ground Lake Before It Became a State Park,” is available for sale at Literary Leftovers for $15. All proceeds will go to the Battle Ground chapter of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs to support their many community service projects. The booklet will also be available at the Ladybug Bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 4 at in the Battle Ground High School gym.
