Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic features Marc Janssen

The next Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic features Marc Janssen at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at Art at the Cave, 108 E. Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver. There’s a $5 suggested donation to attend, though no one will be turned away. Donations can be made at the event or through Christopher Luna’s PayPal account (christopherjluna@gmail.com). Include a memo stating that the money is for Ghost Town Poetry.

Janssen has been writing poems since around 1980. His verse can be found scattered around the world in places like Pinyon, Slant, Cirque Journal, Off the Coast and Poetry Salzburg as well as in his book “November Reconsidered.” Janssen coordinates the weekly Salem Poetry Project reading and the Salem Poetry Festival and was a nominee for Oregon Poet Laureate.
