The Clark College Jazz Band presents its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 18 in the Gaiser Student Center on Clark College’s main campus at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. The performance is open to the public and admission is free, though donations to the Clark College Music Department are welcome at the door. The concerts features jazz favorites from Nestico, van Husen and Roland as well as music by contemporary composers Sherburne, McGuinnes and Neu. The performance will showcase the talents of several soloists and will include reading by Clark student Kaylie Chavez of her jazz-inspired poem, “A Busy Street.” Artwork by Grant Hottle’s drawing class will also be on display.
