The National Park Service at Fort Vancouver and Living History Group Northwest will host the eighth annual World War II Encampment from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 20. Attendees can meet with living history volunteers portraying members of U.S. Army units from World War II, representing medics, cavalry, infantry and the Women’s Army Corps. The costumed volunteers bring their own uniforms, weapons, tents and equipment, including period-specific military Jeeps and trucks.
