45th Parallel Universe presents “Franz and PDQ”

45th Parellel Universe PDX presents “Franz and PDQ” from 7 to 8 p.m. May 25 at The Old Madeleine Church, 3124 N.E. 24th Ave., Portland. The concert features one sublime masterpiece of Romantic melodic genius and music by one hilarious black sheep of the musical family. Audiences will hear Franz Schubert’s “Octet in F major, D. 803” for winds and strings and American musical satirist Peter Schickele’s “Schleptet in Eb major.” Tickets are available at 45thparallelpdx.org/concerts/franz-and-pdq/. General admission is $30 and seniors and students are $20.
