TreeSong Nature Awareness & Retreat Center will host a virtual course on corvids, the family of birds that includes crows, ravens, and jays, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Jan. 22.
Attendees will learn more about who the corvids are and why they deserve respect, including how to tell such birds apart from one another.
Longtime birder and teacher Laura Whittemore will lead the course. Whittemore holds a BA in Biology from Lewis and Clark College and has traveled in the US, Australia, South Africa, and Antarctica in search of birds.
