“An Appalachian Christmas” at Columbia Theatre

Grammy-winning fiddler Mark O’Connor has created several arrangements of Christmas classics, a mixture of instrumental and vocal music in bluegrass and Americana. Concertgoers will hear fresh takes on traditional songs with some original compositions from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 14. O’Connor’s Christmas concerts feature himself on fiddle, acoustic guitar, mandolin and mandocello. The shows also include his wife and Grammy winner Maggie O’Connor on fiddle and vocals. Tickets are $50 to $55 for adults, $50 for seniors and $20 for children 17 and under.
