The Historic Trust presents “And It Has Pockets! The Battle for Women’s Clothing Equality,” a public lecture at 6 p.m. March 6 at the General O.O. Howard House, 750 Anderson St., Vancouver. Costume designer Diane Johnston will dig into the pockets of the past, tracing the history of the humble pocket to determine if the battle for equality may still be decided by a few inches of extremely influential fabric.
