The 16th annual Portland International Raceway Auto Swap Meet at 1940 North Victory Blvd., Portland, runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily March 30 to April 1. This event, held in conjunction with the annual Portland Swap Meet at the Expo Center, draws nearly 2,000 vendors to every available space of the 1.97-mile racetrack. Attendees can buy and sell cars, parts, collectibles and related materials ranging from unique to original stock and antique to custom. There’s also an abundance of Americana, including antique toys, vintage gas pumps, bicycles, vintage signs, neons, mannequins, Coca Cola coolers and decked out golf carts. Admission is $10 per day (cash only), and free for children under the age of 12. There are ATMs at all entrances. Parking at the event is $10 per day. Food and beverages are available for purchase on-site. Attendees can visit booths on non-motorized bicycles, which are allowed on the track, or with a trailer/wagon in tow for proper parts transport. Electric bicycles are not allowed inside the swap meet. Learn more about the event at PortlandRaceway.com and follow the event on social media @PortlandRaceway.
A complimentary parts pick-up area stores purchased items for the day, while a “haul and go” delivery system transports purchase directly to buyer’s vehicles in the parking lot. There is a $5 donation for this service. Over the history of the event, this donation-based service has raised over $100,000 for the Community Transitional School, a local organization that provides educational services to area homeless children.
