NatureScaping of S.W. Washington will host a Beginning Bird Identification class at the CASEE Center, 11104 N.E. 149th St. in Brush Prairie, from 10 a.m. to noon May 20.
The class will discuss the basics of bird identification and touch on some of the more common backyard birds in the Clark County area, specifically focusing on various sparrow species.
After the classroom presentation, attendees may go out to the gardens to put their new bird identification skills to the test.
