Bread and Butter Day at Cedar Creek Grist Mill

Cedar Creek Grist Mill, 43907 N.E. Grist Mill Road, Woodland, will host Bread and Butter Day from 1 to 4 p.m. May 27. Visitors can help churn fresh cream into butter and spread it on bread baked with grain from the mill. The event is free. The mill, one of the only remaining water-powered grist mills in the country, is open most weekends. June 24 is Strawberry Shortcake Day, July 29 is Blueberry Pancake Day, Aug. 26 is Treat Day, Sept. 30 is Cornbread Day and Oct. 28 is the annual Apple Cider Pressing.
