The public is invited to view recent works by local artist Blue Bond at Camas Gallery, 408 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas, throughout the month of November. The gallery is hosting a First Friday reception in honor of Bond’s work from 4 to 8 p.m. Nov. 4. Refreshments will be served.
In 2005, Bond was commissioned to do an oil painting for “America Celebrates Freedom,” commemorating the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II. Bond’s painting appeared on memorabilia and the original is on display at The Historic Trust. Bond was also chosen to paint a portrait of one of the “Beautiful Lives Lost,” commemorating those who died in the mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nev., in 2017.
