The Clark College Concert Band presents its Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics Royal Durst Theatre, 3101 Main St., Vancouver. The concert is open to the public and admission is free, though donations are welcome. The first half will features a flute ensemble, horn quartet and percussion ensemble. The second half will feature the full concert band with Richard Strauss’ “Vienna Philharmonic Fanfare,” Percy Grainger’s “Irish Tune from County Derry” (also known as “Danny Boy”) and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “Folk Song Suite.” The concert also features Li Kuang, professor of trombone at Portland State University, who will perform Alexandre Guilmant’s “Morceau Symphonique.” The concert ends with the West Coast premiere of Michele Fernandez’ “Unidad en Ritmo.”
