Clark College presents “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” with showtimes at 7:30 p.m. March 2, 3, 4, 10 and 11 at the Decker Theater in the Frost Arts Center at 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Admission is $15.
The story explores a love triangle between an agoraphobe, a highway toll collector and an exotic dancer with an unhinged ex-boyfriend. A Greek-chorus-eque trio of trailer park women guides the narrative, playing any character or gender they choose while breaking the fourth wall at whim to air their own dirty laundry. More than a decade after its New York premiere, “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” continues to be relevant, telling a story about rising above impulses, mistakes and surroundings to make a future despite the past.
