Duo Violão Plus One performs at The Old Church

The Old Church presents samba music with Duo Violão Plus One, performing at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at 1422 S.E. 11th Ave., Portland. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance or $30 on the day of the show. Tickets are available at theoldchurch.org. The trio is returning to tour after the pandemic halted its “História do Choro” album release concerts. Rogério Souza (7-string guitar) and Edinho Gerber form Duo Violão, a celebration of Brazilian musical history and guitar. For their debut album, they teamed up with percussionist Ami Molinelli to explore the highlights of choro music, the original Brazilian music.
