The Fern Prairie Art Fest will be held at Shangri-La Farm in Fern Prairie from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 30 and 31. Guests should park at Grove Field Airport, 632 N.E. 267th Ave., Camas, and take the free “Sunflower Mobile” from the airport parking lot to the farm. Guests may also walk the quarter-mile trail through the woods to the farm.
The festival features 10 juried artists in the gardens on Shangri-La farm grounds, located 1.5 miles north of Lacamas Lake just outside the city limits of Camas. Shangri-La’s owner Liz Pike will be joined by artists Sarah Bang, Bev Birdwell, Cheryl Folkers, Dave Garbot, David Gerton, Suzanne Grover, Charlene Hale, Amy Jan Ernst, Cheryl Mathieson and Keith Russell. Original work includes paintings in oils, acrylics and watercolor, pastels, mixed media, pottery, fused and enamel glass, jewelry, pen and ink and copper mixed media.
