Finding Your Ancestors’ Immigration

The Clark County Genealogical Society will offer “Finding Your Ancestors’ Immigration” class and workshop from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at 3205 N.E. 52nd St., Vancouver. Attendees will learn about the resources that can unlock the mystery of when and where your ancestors first set foot in North America. Students will examine immigration from the 17th through the 20th centuries and learn how to find emigration records from their country of origin. The class is $20. Following the presentation, attendees are invited to bring a dish from their immigrant ancestors’ native country for “Tastes of the Old Country.” After lunch, a free workshop will help attendees find their ancestors’ immigration records.
