“Summer Fun and Flamingos” returns to downtown Camas from 5 to 8 p.m. First Friday, Aug. 5. Wear flamingo-inspired clothing and enjoy flamingo-themed games and crafts, art gallery receptions, after-hours shopping, dining specials and live music.
Pink flamingos will flock downtown for the Camas Grad Night Flamingo Flocking Fundraiser. Find out how to flock a friend with this revered tradition and support Grad Night, the drug-free and alcohol-free party after graduation for the seniors of Camas, Discovery, and Hayes Freedom High Schools and Camas Connect Academy.
Play the word game “What Does the Flamingo Say?” in downtown businesses to win prizes donated by downtown merchants. Dress in flamingo or summer themed attire and be entered to win a flamingo-themed prize. Free, all-ages games include Flamingo Water Races, Tropical Toss-it-In, Flamingo Plinko, Summer Spin-the-Wheel and Flamingo Croquet. Enjoy art shows and receptions at Attic Gallery, 421 N.E. Cedar St., featuring artist Sandra Jones Campbell and Camas Gallery, 408 N.E. Fourth Ave., featuring artist Randy Cole. Second Story Gallery, upstairs at the Camas Library, 625 N.E.
