Fort Vancouver Rose Society General Membership Meeting

The next meeting of the Fort Vancouver Rose Society is 7 p.m. Nov. 9 in the Parish Hall at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Blvd, Vancouver. Visitors are welcome. Meteorologist Ryan Tilley will speak on “Weather for Rosarians.” Tilley is an American Rose Society Master Rosarian, Master Gardener, former Greater Atlanta Rose Society president and vice president. Tilley’s personal rose garden in Atlanta, Ga., included over 300 rose bushes and was featured on the Atlanta Botanical Garden’s Connoisseur Tour and at both ARS National Rose Shows and conventions. Tilley and his wife Wendy moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2018 where he now tends his garden of 250 roses. Tilley recently received the “Queen of Show” award for his Neptune hybrid tea rose at the Portland Rose Society 2022 Rose Show. Tilley also writes a newsletter, “The Crazed Rosarian.”
