Four-week Introduction to Oils class

Vancouver Art Space, located on the second floor of the Vancouver Mall at 8700 N.E. Vancouver Mall Drive, Suite 283 Vancouver, is offering a four-week Introduction to Oils class, with Vancouver Art Space owner and artist Barbara Sheehan. Class will meet from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays from May 2 to May 23. Students will learn the basics of working with oil paint, mediums, solvents and common tools; approaches to layering and producing a “structurally sound” painting; common oil painting pigments and techniques; and how to finish a painting. All supplies are included in the $190 fee, though students are encouraged to bring their own supplies. Returning students can continue with new projects.
