Green Business Morning Blend focuses on reducing waste with reusable containers

Clark County’s Green Business program invites the business community to learn about reusing and safely refilling consumer-owned food and beverage containers at a free educational event from 8:30 to 10 a.m. May 1 at Fourth Plain Community Commons, 3101 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., Suite 101, Vancouver. Attendees will hear presentations by Bold Reuse and Okapi Reusables, two companies working with local businesses to reduce the number of single-use products that end up in the landfill. A member of Clark County Public Health’s Food Safety program will discuss how businesses can create a plan to refill consumer-owned food and beverage containers that meets regulatory standards and safety guidelines.
