Magenta Theater presents “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks”

Magenta Theater, 1108 Main St., Vancouver, presents “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks,” showing Oct. 13-29. Lily, an aging but formidable retiree, hires Michael, an acerbic dance instructor, to give her dance lessons in her Florida condo. Antagonism between a gay man and the wife of a Southern Baptist minister gives way to compatibility as they swing dance, tango, foxtrot and cha-cha, sharing barbs and intimacies along with the dance steps.

Shows are 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Doors open at 7 p.m. Sunday showings are at 2 p.m. with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. Advance tickets are $23 at www.magentatheater.com or by calling the box office at 360-949-3098. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $25.
